At the very beginning, Daniel Swarovski endeavoured to manufacture crystals of an unequalled quality and imitating as closely as possible the gemstones of nature: diamond, emerald, ruby ... innovating by inserting impurities into the crystal giving it colour and reflections. He then created shades such as the famous white crystal "Aurore Boréale" inspired by the colours of the gallery of mirrors of the Palace of Versailles.
